Myatt’s Fields, Lambeth Council Camberwell, London SE5
Project Brief:
The brief that we received from Angela Li of the Lambeth Council Leisure and Parks Department was to completely refurbish the existing water play/splash-pad feature that was installed at Myatt’s Fields Park, one of Lambeth Councils 12 Green Flag Award-winning parks; which is located in Camberwell, South London.
Being an integral park of the local community, it was important that the refurbishment of all of the plantroom equipment that serviced the parks water play feature, was completed quickly and safely in the 2 week period allocated.
Method:
In August 2020, the AquaNeo team completely refurbished the plant room equipment operating the splash-pad. This included the supply and installation of new dosing equipment and sand filters, and the refurbishment of all the electrics in the plant room.
Result:
A much loved and used fun water play feature was back, up and running in a very short time period. Being enjoyed by the large local community in their much loved Myatt’s Fields Park.

Mount Pond, Lambeth Council Clapham Common, London SW4
Project Brief:
Mount Pond is one of only 2 fisheries in Lambeth and Lambeth Council’s Parks Team, working in partnership with The Environment Agency (EA)’s Fisheries Team, have been working hard to boost the biodiversity of Clapham Common’s fishponds.
Part of the work to improve the health and biodiversity of Mount Pond was to replace the old and damaged aerator that was in situ.
Method:
The AquaNeo team found that they needed to call upon their nautical skills as well as their water engineering skills for this project, set by Iain Boulton of Lambeth Council in August 2020. As the only way to access and remove the now redundant aerator from the pond was by boat. Our very own intrepid ‘two men in a boat’ Marc and Dave, successfully navigated the task of installing the new industrial strength Kasco surface aerator; carrying out all wiring of the new fixture and it’s timer clocks that improve the energy efficiency of the aerator by controlling and running the aeration schedule for the pond automatically.
Result:
This historic and much loved local amenity in Clapham Commons urban parkland, now has significantly improved water quality that immediately benefits the whole ecosystem of the pond . The surface aerator installed maximises the oxygen transfer throughout, by dramatically agitating the surface water to increase its exposure to air and therefore enhancing valuable exchanging of gases to improve the oxygen levels within the pond.
The result - a much healthier and biodiverse environment that continues to improve day by day, which can be seen by the abundance of wildlife resident and the very happy anglers who have a plethora of healthy fish available to catch. Even if they sometimes get away!

Aldgate Square Aldgate High Street, City of London
Project Brief:
The brief was to re-commission the existing interactive water feature at Aldgate Square, which had been out of action since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak. The feature had not been operational for quite some time and needed a complete deep clean and re-commissioning to its former entertaining self.
Method:
By removing all he drainage grating from Aldgate Square we are able to then clear all the accumulated debris out of the installation and replace all filters, re-balance the chemical dosing, chlorinate all pipework for effective disinfection and then test the water quality to ensure all maintenance and Health & Safety standards are met. The DMX controlled jets had to be commissioned, this in itself is imperative to keep the display program in sync. before turning the feature back on.
Result:
One of the City of London’s most sensitively designed, tranquil and secluded public spaces, was back to its full glory and being appreciated by the local residents and working community alike. The interactive jumping jets with incorporated laminate lighting, which create an amazing night time illusion, are once again delighting everyone and contributing to this lush and relaxing urban space being used and enjoyed all year round.

The Roehampton Club London SW15
Project Brief:
Working on behalf of one of our main specialist partners Pure Hydration, we were tasked with installing new safe drinking water stations at the prestigious and exclusive Roehampton Club in leafy South West London.
AquaNeo were tasked with removing a rather outdated existing drinking fountains and install new state of the art bottle filling station, to provide easy on the go access for the club members to clean refreshing water.
Method:
We removed the 4 existing drinking fountains and installed new concrete bases for all the new refill station sites.
New power and water feeds were checked and tested by our engineers and once approved, brought in to the designated areas and the new Refill Stations successfully installed and connected to water and power.
For extra safety and hygiene we laid a rubber crumb safety surface was laid around the base area to bring an eye catching finish to the new refill stations.
Result:
The new bottle refill stations provide a modern stylish solution that aligns with the Roehampton Clubs ambitious Environmental and Sustainability strategy and promotes the fight for a sustainable plastic free future.
Removing the need for single use plastic bottles, users can bring their re fillable bottles to be filled with fresh filtered drinking water.
The new refill stations collect data for water usage, letting the client know exactly how much water is being used, at what times of the day and giving an insight as to how many single use plastic bottles are being replaced.
AquaNeo are actively helping bring best practice sustainable solutions to all our customers - no matter their size or location.

Agnes Riley Gardens, Lambeth Council, London SW12 0AH
Project Brief:
Our brief from Lambeth Council was to completely transform the run down and rather tired public paddling pool in the children’s play area in Agnes Riley Gardens, into a new safe interactive wet play area to compliment this much loved public open space and community gardens.
Method:
The AquaNeo team started this important project by carrying out planned groundwork to infill the existing paddling pool and precisely lay new pipework into the base: ready for the new highly efficient and eco-friendly splash pad water management system.
Also part of this extensive refurbishment and revitalisation project, was the Installation of a new above ground plant room.
To utilise and repurpose any existing infrastructure, we skillfully transformed the existing underground plant room into the water tank for the supply of safe and clean water to the new splashpad.
We also managed trusted specialist contractors to install the new bright safety play surface to add even more impact to this exciting and fun installation.
Result:
A new safe and stimulating family play area that provides a durable and cost-effective outdoor entertainment facility to be enjoyed by families for a long time.
All done to the agreed schedule and budget; and more importantly - to the deadline to ensure it was ready to be enjoyed by children of all ages at the start of the summer season in 2024.
